Gen. Mark Welsh Joins Peak Nano Board

August 2017 – Peak Nano is pleased to announce the addition of retired U.S. Airforce General Mark Welsh to the company’s board of directors.

“Mark is the most transformational leader I have ever known”, said Jim Welsh, chief executive officer at Peak Nano. “Mark has led at every possible level imaginable and brings an unquantifiable level of experience to Peak, we are so happy to have him join our team.”

Gen. Welsh served as the U.S. Air Force chief of staff and oversaw the organization, training and equipping of more than 660,000 active-duty, guard, reserve and civilian forces serving in the United States as well as overseas. As a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Welsh served as a key military advisor to the Secretary of Defense, National Security Council and the President of the United States.

A command pilot, Gen. Welsh has more than 3,300 flight hours in a variety of fighter, ground-attack and training aircraft. Highly decorated for his service, Gen. Welsh continues to serve his community as the dean of the George H.W. Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.

Upon his graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1976, Welsh served in a number of operational, command and staff positions.

As part of the Peak Nano board, Gen. Welsh will bring his real-world military and command experience to the development and delivery of nanotechnology-fueled products.
