    Description

    We are in search of a Director of AI Development who will guide Peak’s AI initiatives and play a foundational role in growing and shaping Peak’s AI team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software development, combined with exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication abilities.

    The Peak Nano AI Development team will partner with the Software Development & Infrastructure (SDI), Optical Design, & Development teams to create AI tools to advance Peak’s manufacturing capabilities.

    Required Qualifications

    • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.

    • Proven experience in AI/ML/DL in a lead or managerial role.

    • Proficiency in popular AI frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or equivalent.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.

    • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.

    • US Citizenship

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.

    • Published research or significant contributions in the field of AI.

    • Experience in integrating AI solutions into consumer or business applications.

    • Knowledge of ethics and best practices in AI development.

    • Experience with Agile methodologies and software development life cycle.

    • Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
