    Position Overview

    We are seeking a broadly skilled and proactive IT-focused Leader to join our Software Development & Digital Infrastructure (SDI) team. In this role, you will serve as the face and owner of everything IT at Peak, including management of HPC resources, building & leading the IT-focused team, and continued development & support of our IT-systems’ capabilities. The ideal candidate is driven to improve or create what is needed to keep the organization digitally secure while also providing for a frictionless end-user IT experience.

    Team Formation & Leadership

    • Lead structuring, recruiting, and performance management of the IT team.

    • Mentor team members, ensuring professional growth and the team’s overall success.

    • Allocate resources efficiently, ensuring the best use of team’s strengths and capabilities.

    IT Systems

    • Develop & manage HPC infrastructure, in support of our AI Dev and Optical Design teams

    • Own & maintain networks of both business sites and fleet of end-user hardware

    • Identify future capability needs of our IT systems, charter projects accordingly

    • Drive IT projects to completion, collaborating with our MSP, external vendors, and internal stakeholders

    • Troubleshoot issues of these systems and ensure high availability and performance.

    • Administer Microsoft Azure AD/Entra/O365 environment.

    Digital Security

    • Initiate, improve, and manage security measures to protect the organization’s digital presence.

    • Manage security audits, vulnerability assessments, and develop mitigation strategies.

    • Own digital security training

    Documentation and Training

    • Provide or facilitate IT-systems training for end-users and junior team members.

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, processes, and procedures.

    Userbase Support

    • Shape Peak’s IT system & capabilities to provide a low-friction experience for your end-users

    • Be our foremost advocate of digital best practices.

    • Responsible for the standardization of stocking of IT hardware.

    • Be responsible as the front line for urgent or physical hardware issues.

    Target Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

    • Detail oriented, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

    • 5+ years supporting or managing an enterprise IT environment

    • Demonstrated project management skills.

    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

    • Working knowledge of general end-user IT hardware (PC/Mac/conf room, etc.)

    • General knowledge of HPC, networking, VOIP, data storage, virtualization, and business applications

    • Experience with cloud platforms and deployment architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).

    • Experienced and proficient in a scripting language, capable of learning others.
