Description

We are seeking a driven & widely skilled candidate to lead & grow the Automation Development team as a pillar of Peak's Digital Technology Development group. In this role, you will be responsible for all of Automation Development at Peak, leading a project-focused engineering team - effectively functioning as an invested internal automation integrator. This leader will need to integrate with the greater team to develop a broad understanding of all of Peak’s technical processes to guide their team effectively. The ideal candidate is motivated to architect solutions to improve or create what is needed, as well as recognize when the best solution is not more automation. This leader and their team are expected to support automation needs ranging from fundamental test & measurement to new process equipment development to scaling for mass manufacturing.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Systems/Software/Industrial Engineering or equivalent

  • 8+ years’ experience in a technical environment

  • Experience leading multiple direct reports

  • Working knowledge in at least one modern Automation ecosystem (ABB, Rockwell, Automation Direct, etc.)

  • Functional knowledge of common automation-related technologies, measurement/instrumentation, vision systems, motion methodologies, IT systems, data management

  • Has been through all phases of automation system development (i.e., concept-design-implement-support)

  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in engineering or related area

  • 15+ years’ experience in a technical environment

  • Experience in plastic processing & film handling

  • Working knowledge in multiple automation ecosystems

  • Experience communicating results to senior leadership

  • Detail-oriented, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
