The Vice President of Product Engineering for Optics is a pivotal leadership role responsible for building and leading a high-performance team to drive the engineering, development, innovation and optimization of cutting-edge optical systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer requirements, and market demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership

  • Build & Lead the Product Engineering team

  • Own & Drive Product Engineering capability within new product introduction process

  • Financial and Resource Management

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering, Optics, Physics, or related field

  • 15+ years of experience in product engineering, with a focus on optical systems and assemblies or related technologies

  • 8+ years working in product development, having launched 5+ hardware products into the market

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels

  • Proven track record in hiring and developing great teams

  • US Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s in Engineering, Optics, Physics, or related field

  • In-depth knowledge of optical systems, design methodologies, engineering analysis, manufacturing processes, and relevant software tools

  • Experience with Fire Control and Night Vision Systems

  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to align technical strategies with commercial objectives and market opportunities
