Technologist II – Metrology

We’re currently looking for an experienced Technologist to join our Metrology team. This role involves performing a variety of physical and digital test methods for data acquisition. As a skilled Technologist, you’ll work closely with our optics and software team to support the development of advanced image analysis techniques.
The ideal candidate for this role would have a strong background in digital image processing and data analysis, as well as an interest in metrology and quality control. They would be proficient in relevant software tools and able to apply their skills to analyze and document image data effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Perform imaging processing of various materials and components using a range of commercial and internally developed software

Develop and optimize imaging protocols and analysis techniques to improve accuracy and efficiency

Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot technical issues and develop new analytical methods

Maintain accurate records and documentation of experimental data and results using computer software tools

Contribute to the development and improvement of the metrology laboratory and equipment
Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. physics, materials science, engineering, etc.)

2 years of experience in the metrology field

Experience with image analysis and measurement software

Proficient in using computers for data analysis and documentation

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records

Experience with statistical analysis and experimental design is a plus
