Chief Executive Officer
The co-founder of Peak Nano, Jim is at his best when he is leading teams and enabling others to succeed. He has proven it time and again, and brings a record of transformational leadership to this latest nanotechnology venture.
Jim leaped into the entrepreneur waters when he founded MW2 Defense, a nano-materials venture focused on enabling a discrete carbon nanotube (CNT) solution, Molecular Rebar, into the global aerospace and defense markets. His work at MW2 in the nano additive space forged the founding spark for Peak Nano to not only commercialize nanotechnology but to own and drive differentiated manufacturing solutions. Peak Nano is making this dream a reality today.
He began his career in Compaq and HP’s Enterprise Computing Groups, where he led engineering development across hardware and software platforms. He spent the next 11 years leading cross-functional teams delivering innovative server, storage and networking solutions to the market.
Following his time in new product development, he moved into an OEM sales role leading Emulex’s global HP business unit where he helped transform the Fibre Channel stalwart into a dominant data center Ethernet provider. Later, Jim moved into a direct sales role in North America where he led a team focused on selling into multiple high-tech verticals, established OEM sales relationships with Hewlett-Packard, IBM, Dell and other flagship technology brands, and developed a network of channel partners.
Jim and his wife have one daughter, and he’s happiest when traveling, skiing or watching Texas A&M sports with his family. As avid golfers, he and his daughter spend as much time as possible on the course together. Jim and his wife are actively involved in their church and the Coppell Golf Booster Club.
Jim earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
