Description

    • Streamline Test Methods to improve gauge variation and increase capacity

    • Collaborate with technicians to write clear and concise work instructions for new test methods

    • Provide experimental design support performance evaluation of Capacitor Film. Create experimental plans, facilitate, and conduct processing/testing, etc.

    • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to design and implement equipment modifications to improve the safety, reliability, capability, and/or capacity of metrology testing equipment

    • Use data analysis and presentation tools to efficiently communicate experimental design, results, and conclusions to internal cross-functional technical teams

    • Participate in cross-functional FMEA and troubleshooting efforts

    • Understand and implement appropriate EH&S standards, policies, and procedures on all manufacturing and testing equipment. Promote safe work habits and lead by example in compliance with EH&S standards.

Required Qualifications

    • Must be located in the Cleveland, OH area

    • Enrollment in a BS in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent

    • R&D experience in a lab or industrial setting

    • Experience with Data Analysis (MATLAB, JMP, Excel, Minitab, or equivalent)

    • Experience with Instrumentation & Data Acquisition (LabVIEW, Flexlogger, DAQExpress or equivalent)

    • Programming experience (Matlab, Python, or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications 

    • Experience with photography/videography or with industrial/scientific camera systems for automated inspections systems

    • Plastics processing equipment experience and/or familiarity with various analytical equipment (Cast film extrusion, refractometer, FTIR, SEM, microscopy, etc.)

    • Design of Experiments and/or programming experience

    • 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
